Snježana Premuš studied between 1993 - 1998 at London contemporary dance school (BA and MA degree). She collaborated with vaious artists: Ivana Jozić, Philip Gemacher, Mariela Nestora, Elena Alonso, Ignaz Schick.

In the following years she was invited to: Dance productions - Glasgow 1997,  4D company London 1997,

On the Edge improvisation festival - Master classses, Paris 1998, Danceweb scholarship - Vienna 1998, Tanzfabrik scholarship Berlin - I. Kovač and Vinko Globokar, Berlin 2001,Tuning scores with Liza Nelson, Ljubljana 2005. Dialogue, Giorgio Rossi, Fabricca Europa, Firenze 2007.

Between 2010 - 2012 she studied Embodied Anatomy and Yoga, Moveus Berlin.

In 2009, together with Andrejo Podrzavnik in Gregor Kamnikar establishes Collective Federacija and Association Federacija,where she works as an artist and from the year 2012 as the director of the organisation.

 

SInce she returned from London she was interested in fundamental questions abouth the notion of body (one body - hundreds of identities). With series of performances Amplified body and Stories of the body, she started to accumulate possible methodologies and interests in how to extend the body into the spatial reality in order for the spectator to read the problematics she was interested in (Silent body, Move As, The double ).

Between 2003-05 she also closley collaborated theatre director Sebastjan Horvat (Story about O, Alamut, As you like it etc.).

She has been developing the project Physical manifestations  since 2012 with various artists:

Sanja Nešković, Mateja Rebolj, Teja Reba, Milan Ketiš, Rok Vevar, Aleksander Ostan, Pia Brezavšček, Suzana Koncut, Jedrt Jež, Tina Valentan, Liza Šimenc, Gregor Zorc, Melina Iordannidou, Mariela Nestora, Dragana Alfirević, Dejan Srhoj, Ivan Mijačević, Boštjan Perovšek, Špela Škulj, Sonda4.

In collaboration with the artists she has During the period she has staged numerous visible performances (Poiesis of self, Physical manifestations, Every now is time, space) and more than 50 events- laboratories, workhops, installations,  interactive exhibitions.

 

The project has been supported by international partners   and residencies- Isadora and Raymond Duncun Dance Research Centre Athens, Tanzfabrik Berlin, Lokomotiva Skopje, Workshop foundation Budimpešta, NDA Slovenija. Betwen 2019/20 with the third edition of the project she is supported by  LLB Creative crossroads (Creative Culture).

2013      *Kolektiv Federacija – Plaketa Mete Vidmar for outstanding work with the youth.

2017      *Ksenija Hribar award for choreographic work between 2014-17
